US 1938 Naval Academy Graduation Book, 'The Lucky Bag'

Sold
$40.00

Description

Original era publication. Hardbound, 563 pages of text and photos, with an index to the cadet biographies in the back of the book. I did a completely random google search on one cadet, John Caspar Henderson Smith of Altoona Pa, he lost his life aboard the USS Wasp in September 1942. Another random selection was Howard Philip Fischer, lost when the USS Pillsbury was sunk by superior Japanese forces in the Indian Ocean, March 1942. The book contains photos of each Midshipman, great ads in the back. No loose pages, minor wear to the spine, a good solid example, an excellent research tool.
