Description

Original period manufacture. WWII Army WAAC Enlisted Summer Hobby Hat in tan khaki.  Tan cotton hat, nicknamed the 'Hobby Hat' for the commander of the WAAC/WAC Program, Colonel Oveta Culp Hobby.Very clean condition, no stains or tears, just light age and wear. Tan imitation slik lining, intact moisture shield with the brass enlisted eagle emblem at the front, OD plastic chinstrap button, missing one side button. Size 21 1/2,  Debway Hats Inc. manufacture. Label dated 1943. The soldiers name and service number are inkstamped on the interior of the hat.
