US WWII M1938 Dispatch Case, Mounted Pattern, Boyt 42, Officers Service Number Marked

Original era manufacture. A clean example in sound condition, light OD canvas, maker marked on the reverse Boyt with a small, faint date which may be 41 or 42.   Complete with a proper pattern shoulder strap in light OD canvas. Stenciled on the inside of the flap, and on the shoulder strap is an officers pattern service number, O-1304097. On the reverse of the case are the three extra straps which allowed the case to be attached close to the body or horse. Small slit in the fabric of the flap next to the U.S. No map protector insert.
