This Dutch NSB letter is in good condition and was written, hand-signed and sent on June 5, 1942 by NSB leader Anton Mussert to the father of a Dutch Waffen-SS volunteer in Delft, J.A. van Gijs.'Comrade,Thank you for your letter dated May 31 with the enclosed copy of your son's letters to the Eastern Front. I was pleased to learn that your son has been promoted to Rottenführer.A proof of the satisfaction of his performance.I understand that you as a father are proud of your son, I as Leader of the Movement no less proud of my boys who sacrifice their lives for the preservation of Europe and the freedom of the Netherlands.I am sorry to learn that he is now wounded in the arm.
