Original WWII South-African Nationalist pin

This South African Nationalist 'Voortrekker' pin is in good condition and dates from 1938.
The pin is complete with functional pin on the back and also stamped with a makers stamp.
The Voortrekkers were Dutch-speaking Afrikaner farmers, who between 1830 and 1850 emigrated from the Cape Colony annexed by the British to the interior of South Africa in the so-called Great Trek, to establish their own independent Boer states here.
The Afrikaners who fall under the informal subgroup Boers are the descendants of the Voortrekkers who settled in the interior of South Africa, referring to the predominantly agricultural origins of the Voortrekkers.
Nationalists in South Africa therefore celebrated the Voortrekker Centenary and were also associated with the collaboration organization Ossewa Brandwag.

Originele WWII Zuid-Afrikaanse nationalisten speld 
Deze Zuid-Afrikaanse Nationalistische 'Voortrekker' speld is in goede conditie en dateert uit 1938.
De speld is compleet met functionele speld aan de achterzijde en tevens ook gestempeld met een makers stempel.
De Voortrekkers waren Nederlandstalige Afrikaner boeren, die tussen 1830 en 1850 emigreerden uit de door de Britten geannexeerde Kaapkolonie naar het binnenland van Zuid-Afrika in de zogenaamde Grote Trek, om hier hun eigen onafhankelijke Boerenstaten te stichten.
De Afrikaners die vallen onder de informele subgroep Boeren zijn de afstammelingen van de Voortrekkers die zich in het binnenland van Zuid-Afrika vestigden, verwijzend naar de overwegend agrarische afkomst van de Voortrekkers.
De nationalisten in Zuid-Afrika vierden dan ook het Voortrekker Eeuwfeest en waren ook verbonden met de collaboratie organisatie Ossewa Brandwag.
