German WWI Prussian Wirelayer Buckle, Early Brass Issue

Original era manufacture. Brass construction buckle with a nickel center roundel. Light brass patina spotting on the obverse, with a gilded brass patina reverse. No denting or other damage, just normal age and wear, likely polished years ago.
