US WWII 10th Mountain Division SSI & Tab

Original period manufacture. Cotton embroidered, cut-edge patch which does not fluoresce under a UV light. Light age and wear.The 10th Mountain Division was activated in July of 1943, with its headquarters at Camp Hale Colorado. It fought in two campaigns in Italy during WWII, suffering the loss of 4,072 casualties. Senator Robert Dole, one-time Republican Presidential candidate, served with the 10th Division in Italy, and was severely wounded during his service.
