Description
The uniform jacket is in good condition and was worn by a member of the Flemish collaboration organization the 'Zwarte Brigade', also known as the Black Brigade. On the sleeve is the well-known Wolfsangel shield and the shoulder boards are also present. The Zwarte Brigade was active between 1941 and 1944 and their members were structured militarily, with squads as the basic unit, grouped together in brigades. The predetermined number of 5,000 members was never reached. The insignia on this jacket are possibly reapplied but all pieces are certainly original.During the war, members of the Black Brigade wore mostly black dyed uniform jackets and different models were worn.In some cases with three or four buttons on the front and sometimes with or without collar tabs.Uniforms of the Flemish Black Brigade are very scarce and hardly come on the market!A unique uniform jacket for the collaboration or World War II collection!Article number: 10428
