Waffen-SS 'Gebirgsjäger' Cap Insignia

Waffen-SS RzM style Mountain Troops (Gebirgsjäger) Cap Insignia, depicting the famous 'Edelweiß' flower. The patch was similar to the metal cap insignia worn by the WH (Heer) mountain troops. The black Edelweiß insignia was worn by Waffen-SS 'Gebirgstruppen', for example soldiers of the 'Prinz Eugen' division, the insignia was worn on the left side of the M43-Cap. The badge is nicely machine-embroidered on a black wool base. The patch is showing some minor staining. Nice original SS mountain troops cap-insignia in good unissued condition.
