Description
The flag is in good condition and was used by the Swedish collaboration party SNSP.The flag is single sided and has silver colored fringes at the bottom.Dimensions: 62 x 49.5 cm.The SNSP was founded on October 1, 1930 by Birger Furugård and this collaboration organization had only 3000 members. The party was modeled after the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP).As the national leader, Furugård had full authority over all party affairs (imitating the Fuhrer's role in the German party).Sven Olov Lindholm was the party's second-in-command and the editor of Vår Kamp.Furugård's two older brothers, Sigurd and Gunnar, also held key positions in the party leadership. There was a nine-member party staff, which had an advisory function towards the National Leader. The party maintained close contacts with their German counterparts.Furugård himself visited Germany on several occasions and spoke at NSDAP election campaign rallies. He developed personal friendships with key figures in the German party hierarchy, including Adolf Hitler.SNSP contested the 1936 parliamentary elections in conjunction with the National Socialist Bloc.In total, the SNSP-NSB alliance fielded candidates in twelve constituencies. The election was a setback for the party, which dwarfed the Lindholm party. The SNSP-NSB alliance only gathered about 3,025 votes. SNSP was disbanded shortly afterwards.Furugård appealed to his followers to join forces with Lindholm. Furugård effectively withdrew from political life.A very rare SNSP flag for the collaboration or World War II collection!Article number: 9434
