US Vietnam War GI Steel Airborne Helmet, 1965 Contract Helmet Cover

Original period manufacture. Rear seam, non reflective edge steel helmet shell in original finish, with original sewn, Airborne pattern, dark OD chin straps. The cover has been on this helmet for a long time, exhibiting wear and rust staining on the edges, with a clear contract stamp visible on the brown side as shown. On the interior of the shell a number B-168-116 has been written in marking pen.
