US WWII Leather Rifle Sling, 1918 C&K

Original era manufacture. Funny how our eyes play tricks on us sometimes. Prior to typing up this description I was going to list this as a pre WWII manufactured sling with brass fittings, perhaps of WWI manufacture. Lying before me this morning I glanced down and saw the makers initials and date of 1918. I had looked and looked before and found nothing, yet there they were, Merry Christmas. Now these markings don't just jump right out at you but they are there, located next to one of the brass hooks. A pliable brown leather sling with brass fittings throughout, no dry rot, looks to have been lightly oiled years ago, the leather loop looks to be a replacement.
