Japanese WWII Late War Type 30 Bayonet, Wooden Scabbard

Original period manufacture. A clean late war example featuring a blue steel patina finished blade without fullers, pointed on one end steel guard, square type pommel and contoured wooden grips. Mix of blue and steel patina finish on the blade, with scattered staining, minor evidence of surface pitting. Clear markings on the ricasso. Sound, original finish wooden grips, displaying typical minor marring and denting, no cracks or chips. Steel patina finish to the guard and pommel with a peppering of surface corrosion. Re-painted wood surface on the two-piece wooden scabbard. Pointed steel chape, with the body bound with two bands of twine.
